Four Garden Classic Garden Design by Rooted Garden
Rooted Garden design and installed this four garden classic garden in Houston, Texas as a gift from a husband, to his wife, Marnie.
They wanted to transform the space from an empty grassy space to raised beds where she could grow her own food and find a retreat in this beautiful space.
Houston Raised Garden Design
Marnie’s garden design consisted of four gardens each measuring 8’ x 4’ x 2’. This Four Garden Classic design required a large amount of grass space to accommodate the four raised gardens and the three pathways. The finishing touch for the garden are these unique arch trellises made of powder coated steel for maximum outdoor performance and function.
Raised Garden Beds
Rooted Garden installs raised kitchen garden beds for their many benefits which include ease of tending and the addition of high quality soil. Each garden is custom made by a local craftsmen using untreated cedar for longevity. Garden dimensions are based on the clients’ space and their height preferences and are then filled all the way to the top with organic soil to promote vegetable and herb growth.
Moon Arch Trellis
Our client wanted to create a true ‘getaway’ feeling for her garden and loved the Eastern accents of this modern moon arch trellis. Adding this trellis to the garden truly tied the design together and has created a support for seasons of vegetative growth including vining tomatoes, beans and even passion vine.

Inspired from Chinese architecture, the vast circular opening of the Moon Gate arch creates an inviting garden passageway.
Our arches are made with graceful curves of tubular steel, powder coated black.

The rounded sides are excellent for vining plants like tomatoes and beans.
Trellises can be assembled mostly by hand but bolts should be tightened.
Trellis package includes 4 18" spikes to connect the trellises to the ground if desired.
Stone Pathways and Borders
Rooted Garden’s signature raised garden designs include paved walkways and borders. The concrete stepping stones ensures the space is easy to tend and comfortable. The gravel coordinates with hardscape in other areas of the outdoor space and provides a clean aesthetic.
Organic Vegetables
Rooted Garden planted organic, naturally grown vegetables and herbs in this raised garden based upon the clients preferences and the current growing season in Houston. This sage plant has thrived in the garden and can be used fresh or dried for later use.
Houston Vegetable Gardening
Houston provides a special climate that allows vegetable growing all year long in raised beds. Each season brings new vegetables, herbs and seeds for planting, tending and enjoyment.
