Corten Steel Kitchen Garden in Memorial Featured in Kitchen Garden Revival
Memorial Area client Julie, and her husband, wanted to gift one another something unique and long lasting for the holidays in 2017.
She reached out to Nicole Burke of Rooted Garden to design these Corten gardens that would become a constant reminder of their love to one another. And bonus-they had their parents gift them the Bay Laurel trees that sit and grow at the back of their kitchen garden space.

Corten Raised Kitchen Gardens
We loved creating this unique half moon design for Julie and her husband. Not only are these gardens beautiful, but the two foot height lends to a comfortable experience in the garden. An important consideration of each garden design as they differentiate the kitchen garden from the rest of the landscape. The Rooted Garden team uses a variety of gravel surfaces to provide a clean and aesthetically pleasing garden space. Gravel helps keep weeds from growing into the space.
Metal Trellises
One of Rooted Gardens signature design features in our clients raised gardens is metal trellises.
Shown here are two coordinating arch trellises. Arch trellises are used to combine two or more gardens and allow for vining vegetables such as warm season cucumbers and tomatoes and cool season beans and peas a space to grow.
